North Face of Mount Everest in Photos

All these photos were taken from Rongbuk and the Base Camp on the Tibetan side of Mt Everest. We arrived after 2 days of mountain biking off road to get there. In the week preceding we had missed any opportunity of viewing the summit due to cloudy weather so the anticipation of finally seeing the famous summit was immense. We prayed for a clear view. We were not disappointed. On first sight see really does takes your breath away and the struggle to get there was immediately forgotten. I really did feel like I was on the top of the world (almost)! Excitement and Serenity descend on you at the same time! A feeling that cannot truly be described but will never be forgotten!

These two days were an unforgettable highlight of my trip! I think this is about as close as I want to get though. I’ll leave the summit for the professionals!
